Abstract:
A silicon photonic crystal microcavity filter is simulated and analysed using the finite difference time domain method, to have a proper pass band around the desired frequency of 1550nm. We found that it is possible to have a reasonable tenability and transmittance at a special frequency using tapered and non-symmetric structure.
